Kevin Oates, R.M.T.

Kevin exhibited a talent for massage from an early age. Relatives used to entice him with offers of money and prizes to work on their painful necks, shoulders and feet. Before embarking on a career in massage therapy, Kevin studied art and creative writing in St. Petersburg, Florida, his long time home base.

Upon graduating from Kikkawa College of Shiatsu and Massage Therapy in 1988, Kevin began working in a wide variety of health settings. In 1989 he founded Advanced Therapeutics. Kevin's hands-on techniques continue to be sought out by other therapists.

Kevin has won numerous awards including "Excellence in Teaching" from Kikkawa College. Advanced Therapeutics has been voted "Best Therapist" by Now Magazine. In addition to clinical work, Kevin has been part of the examination committee working as board examiner for the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. He was actively teaching and instructing students for several years. Kevin brings a lot of humour and serious sweat to his job!

Kristina Pearsall, R.M.T.

Kristina became inspired to help people rehabilitate from injury when her aunt and uncle survived a serious motorcycle accident in 2001. This experience inspired her to become a massage therapist, and Kristina graduated from Centennial College’s 3 year advanced Massage Therapy Diploma program in 2005.

Decades of experience on the soccer field have given Kristina her unique insight into the mechanisms of injury and how to treat each individual with knowledge, skill, and creativity. Kristina brings a variety of massage experience to the Advanced Therapeutics team, including sports massage, deep tissue, infant, and pre/post natal treatments.

In her free time Kristina is an avid photographer, and loves to roller-blade and take pictures, although not simultaneously.

Iain Cuthbertson, R.M.T.

Iain Cuthbertson is a native of Toronto. He grew up playing the traditional sports: ice hockey, football, baseball, but stopped playing the traditional western sports twenty years ago after being smitten by Tai Chi. He claims it to be the greatest 'sport' he's ever played.

When Iain isn't in 'Tai motion' he's pursuing academics pertaining to health and wellness. He graduated from Kikkawa College of Massage Therapy in 1995 and studied extensively at York University. Before joining Advanced Therapeutics he lead the Massage Therapy team for five years at St. Anne's Spa, a five star health resort in Grafton, Ontario.

Sheena McKenzie

Office Manager

Sheena hails from Glasgow, Scotland and is a much loved and valued member of the team.  She is not only the kind voice over the phone and friendly face that greets you, but in many ways the 'glue' that holds Advanced Therapeutics together.

Sheena's years of experience running her own business importing and selling international artifacts has made her an administrator extraordinaire. Her world travel and natural warmth have given her a great understanding of people.

When not managing our operation or assisting our staff and patients, Sheena can be found going on monster walks, reading, catching live music, and enjoying local culture. Sheena is a passionate traveller, but we hope her path will always lead back to us.
